Dr. Lynne Woehrle, President
About Woehrle: I am an educator and scientist with a passion for addressing social inequalities and barriers. I am a tenured Associate Professor at UW Milwaukee in the School of Nursing/College of Health Professions and Sciences. I direct the Masters program in Sustainable Peacebuilding and the undergraduate certificate in Peace and Conflict Studies. My research focuses on assets based evaluation and systems mapping toward positive, environmentally sustainable community development. I also work for the elimination of bias and the expansion of equity across race, class, gender, and ability divisions. I have extensive experience training professionals who intervene in conflict. I am a parent of 3 school-aged children. I am committed to the support and expansion of public education and its continuous quality improvement and innovation.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? I am inspired by the diverse interests and talents of our students. I find them generous, thoughtful, and hard-working. I believe that our future is in good hands with them.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? Students need safe and stimulating learning environments. They need to be challenged to think beyond their own perspective and experience. I believe that the WSD has the capacity to become known as a destination district that opens access to all and inspires the next generation of leaders to be committed to intellectual achievement and to the dignity of all beings. I am thrilled to volunteer my time to help ensure our district meets these goals in the immediate future.
What else do you want to share about yourself? I practice yoga and Pilates, enjoy vegetable gardening and long walks. I recently started taking piano lessons. I am a big soccer fan and my 3 favorite players all live under my roof.

About Heimerl-Rolland: I live on the Eastside of Wauwatosa with my husband and daughters. I also have a son who attends UWM. We love living in Wauwatosa. In my free time, I like to be with friends and family trying new restaurants and I love being outside. My background is in education and I have worked for MPS and other community organizations, I currently work in the Office of Professional Development at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? The diversity in talent our students show us on a regular basis is inspiring. There is never a lack of student accomplishments to celebrate in our district; from sports, the arts, DI, APPSE, cheer and dance teams and so much more. When I am in our schools, I see our students actively engaged in learning and showing kindness to their peers. Students are my number one priority as a school board member and they inspire me to make decisions that center around them.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? I have been involved in Wauwatosa Schools since my kids started school in the District and I saw so many wonderful things happening in our schools. I also saw things that I thought could be even better. I knew my background in education, nonprofit management and program management could be an asset to the District so I eagerly ran for my seat.
What else do you want to share about yourself? I think decisions are best made when a variety of voices are heard and facts and data are used. I try to be available to our community and hope that our community members feel comfortable reaching out. If I can't help with a specific question, I am happy to point them in the right direction.

About Wautier: I'm a Wauwatosa parent, business professional, entrepreneur, and volunteer who believes deeply in service, equity, and long-term thinking. With over 25 years of leadership in software design and management, I use data and collaboration to drive practical solutions. A lifelong Wisconsin resident, I grew up in a small town north of Green Bay, earned my BSEE from MSOE, and have lived and worked across the greater Milwaukee area -from the urban energy of Downtown and Bay View to suburban life in St. Francis and Franklin. But it wasn't until I moved to Wauwatosa that I truly found a place to call home. That was over ten years ago and I'm looking forward to seeing our community continue to grow over the next ten years.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? Their resilience and curiosity. Whether they’re exploring new ideas in the classroom or speaking up at board meetings, our students show incredible strength, creativity, and leadership. They remind me every day why this work matters. One day these children will be in our positions, running the world, making their own choices and having their own families. I'd like to give each of them the best chance at finding happiness and success, by whichever way they measure it, by obtaining the best education we can provide for them.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? I took on this role to be a voice for families like mine—especially those with children who have special needs. My personal experiences as a parent and professional have shaped my belief that every student deserves a safe, inclusive, and high-quality education. I'm committed to driving progress through service, advocating for equity, and ensuring fiscal responsibility with transparency and trust.
What else do you want to share about yourself? As life got busier, I became a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy audiobooks. They helped me rediscover my love for books - and reminded me just how comforting it is to be read to. I think many of us leave that behind as we grow from children into young adults, so it was a pleasant surprise to recapture that fond part of childhood. I also enjoy spending time with my family watching movies, taking weekend or day-trips to create new memories and experiences, and hanging out by a campfire with friends and neighbors.

About Bach: I am a graduate of Wauwatosa East and earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UW-Madison, and my Master's degree in Reading Education from The University of Missouri-Kansas City. I worked as a classroom teacher in 3 states before returning home to Tosa when my own children were ready to attend school. As a parent, I dove right in as a volunteer through the PTA and other opportunities to serve the school district and other community initiatives. I also have worked as an interventionist and a substitute teacher.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? I began volunteering in my oldest child's Junior Kindergarten class. Her class is heading to high school in 2025 and I have loved watching her and her peers learn and grow throughout the years. I have also read numerous scholarship application essays for high school seniors and have been so inspired and impressed by how intelligent, driven, selfless, and resilient so many of our students are. Our students are talented in so many ways. On the stage in theater performances or concerts, visual arts, on the athletic field, or in the technical trades- our students are performing at high levels academically and in many other ways. Our future is in good hands with Tosa Kids at the helm!
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? I have served the district through the PTA, PTA Council, and various other initiatives and committees over the past 10 years. There are so many wonderful things happening in our schools; so many dedicated educators and incredible students; many varied opportunities for our kids to grow and learn and follow their dreams! I want to ensure that students will continue to have access to rigorous and varied educational opportunities, that teachers will have the support and resources that they need to do their best work for our kids, and that the Wauwatosa community continues to be a strong and thriving place to live.
What else do you want to share about yourself? I care deeply about kids, teachers, and the community of Wauwatosa and I am honored to be able to serve to help make Tosa Schools even better. I believe that we can make the most progress when all voices, ideas, and perspectives are heard. Please reach out to me to share yours.

About Burzynski: As an experienced educator, I am deeply committed to the success of public schools in the Milwaukee area. My time as both a classroom teacher and school leader has fueled my passion for fostering student engagement and promoting strong professional collaboration. I’m also a proud parent of three children—one graduate and two high school seniors—who have thrived in the Wauwatosa School District
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? Watching my children make their way through the district, I’ve been continually inspired by the unwavering dedication of the teachers and staff in Tosa schools. The district’s focus on nurturing students academically, emotionally, and creatively has made a lasting impression on me. I am impressed by how our educators work together to create enriching, well-rounded learning opportunities for all students. Additionally, I admire the way families and community members come together to support our schools.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? I’m incredibly thankful for the thoughtful leadership of the Wauwatosa School Board, whose efforts have played a significant role in my children’s educational journeys—especially during difficult times. I decided to pursue a seat on the board, because I want to give back to the community that has given so much to my family. My hope is to help continue the vital work of supporting students, families, and educators across the district.
What else do you want to share about yourself? In 2016, my husband and I decided to bring our family to Wauwatosa so that our children had walkable access to schools and activities. In addition to that, we have found caring neighbors, welcoming businesses, lively community events, and easily accessible parks and bike paths. We feel fortunate to call this city our home.

About Bauer: A graduate of Michigan State, Chris moved to the Milwaukee area in 2008 and chose Wauwatosa specifically because of the strength of the schools. As his youngest started JK at Eisenhower, Chris joined the PTA and quickly took a leadership role with the intent of regrowing and reorganizing that group, which led to his involvement at the District level. He invested significant time and effort in the Yes to Tosa Kids referendum movement in 2024. In addition to his commitment supporting schools and advocating for appropriate public school funding,, he now looks to bring to the board his professional experience as a former teacher and now a chief financial officer to balance opportunity costs of costs, impact, and student achievement to drive the community forward.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? Coming from a small rural community, Chris is continually impressed by the entirety of the educational experience now available to the students. Even more impressive is the continual engagement of the students in these opportunities – state-recognized sports teams and trade programs, nationally recognized APPSE and theatre programs, and simply the breadth and depth of the academic achievement of our students.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? Democracy is not a spectator sport. In the United States, we pride ourselves on our democratic institutions and freedoms. A foundational pillar of these pride points is the public school system, and it is the responsibility of every American to participate in supporting these institutions.
What else do you want to share about yourself? While Chris’s professional and volunteer endeavors keeps him busy, in his free time he loves to play games that involve a world-building aspect. Dungeons and Dragons, Civilization, and Europa Universalis all allow Chris to envision how different societies might operate and the pros and cons that different paths of society might have. He truly appreciates the ability to envision and understand what could be, then figure out the pathways to improve the system as a whole.

About Morris: Loyal husband, dedicated father of three, coach, and mentor. Also an accomplished civic leader, business executive, and community builder. With a passion for making positive impact, I have dedicated myself to empowering young people and fostering positive change within in their community. As an executive leader, a board chair for a local youth-focused non-profit organization I have led efforts to provide mentorship, leadership, coaching and policy to serve the youth of our community. My dedication to youth advocacy has earned both local and national recognition, and my innovative approach to community building has resulted in partnerships both in the public and private sector. My leadership skills extend beyond mentoring in the non-profit sector. With a proven track record of success in the private sector, I have demonstrated an ability to build culture, lead teams, and drive results. Concurrently holding multiple board and committee leadership roles across various sectors in Greater Milwaukee, I have a deep understanding of the importance of innovation, being people focused, and being collaborative in achieving goals. My dedication to the community, our youth, public safety and our schools are all hallmarks of what has made me the respected leader and role model in Wauwatosa.
What inspires you most about the students of the Wauwatosa School District? I am inspired most by the resilience, dedication, community service, creativity, teamwork and achievements of the parents and faculty of the school district. Our district community as compared to our nearest neighbors is the example of what is right within the education world. Sure, we make mistakes, however I am inspired by how quickly we respond and adapt to the evolving educational landscape and how rapidly we seek to acknowledge, understand, and execute on what's best for the children of our district.
What prompted you to serve the Wauwatosa School District as a School Board member? I was prompted to serve on the board by the request of several people I respect and admire within the community. I was tired of hearing about the problems and so I decided to become part of the solution. The relationship between the board and the community felt fractured and an escalating decline in both respect and decorum was evident. I also saw and heard from many educators, staff and parents that they didn't feel that the board was operating in a capacity that felt representative of the sentiments, feelings, and circumstances of the entire community. Moreso, I have two, soon to be three kids in the district and I couldn't sit back and rely on hopes, prayers, and blind optimism that all will be ok. My family is an advocate for public education and we moved here because of the strength of the Wauwatosa School District over many others public school districts. I refused to sweep yesterday's or today's problems under the rug only for them to become bigger problems tomorrow for the children of our community, so I decided that the greatest way to foster change and promote leadership and positivity at the district level as an advocate for students, teachers and the community was to serve on the board.
What else do you want to share about yourself? I'm enthusiastic and optimistic about the community we live in and only want what is best for it. You can find me regularly at any one of our amazing coffee shops or local establishments. My super power is getting things done and getting them done a speed and frequency that isn't for the faint of heart. Feel free to reach out any time.
