Battle of the Books logo with stacks of books

Students across the Wauwatosa School District demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and a passion for reading in this year's statewide Battle of the Books competition. The program, designed to promote a love of reading among students, encourages participants to read a variety of books and recall details about plots, characters, and settings. In each battle, every question is answered with the title and author of a book–for example: Name the book in which a horse and a boy are stranded on an island. This fun, academic-based competition has proven highly successful in encouraging students throughout the state to read.
