In an inspiring display of curiosity and community collaboration, McKinley students experienced an engaging High Interest Day last week. The event was a blend of exploration and creativity, featuring a diverse array of activities facilitated by dedicated volunteers, student leaders from Wauwatosa West, and special guest presenters.
The day was packed with opportunities ranging from immersive experiences with virtual reality goggles and innovative STEM experiments to creative pursuits like jewelry making. Students also had the chance to enhance their language skills by practicing Spanish with students from Wauwatosa West High School.
The infectious energy and joy that filled the halls of McKinley were powerful reminders of the joys of learning and the strength of community involvement. This enriching experience wouldn't have been possible without the enthusiastic support of the McKinley PTO, presenters, volunteers, and community partners. Their collective efforts made High Interest Day an unforgettable success, highlighting the power of coming together to nurture young minds.
